Erin started UpKeeping to change the old, boring stereotypes of bookkeeping. With 15+ years of accounting experience across public, private, non-profit and educational organizations, an MS in Accounting from Liberty University and a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland, she makes bookkeeping relevant and understandable for the people who need it most.
The mission: lead small business owners from tax and bookkeeping anxiety to stress-free decision making. (She’s also, heartbreakingly, a Cleveland Browns fan.)

How much does UpKeeping cost?
The discovery call is $25. One-time cleanups start at $500. Monthly bookkeeping starts at $450 a month for the Premium package (quarterly financials and check-in, payroll assistance) and at $750 a month for Platinum (monthly check-in call, A/R, A/P, payroll and monthly financial statements). Your discovery call sets the exact scope.
Why is there a fee for the discovery call?
The $25 call is a real working session: you share your bookkeeping situation and leave with a path designed for your business. It is the lowest-risk way to find out whether you need a cleanup, monthly help, or both.
I don’t understand accounting. Will I feel lost?
That is exactly who UpKeeping is for. The mission is to make bookkeeping relevant and understandable. Clients say they never feel silly asking questions, and that Erin explains things thoroughly while keeping them in charge of their business.
Do you work with businesses outside Seattle and Austin?
Yes. Meetings happen in person, by phone, or over Zoom, and clients include business owners in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington.
What software do you use?
UpKeeping works in QuickBooks Online (Erin is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor Elite and a 2025 Top 100 ProAdvisor) and runs payroll in Gusto or QuickBooks Payroll. The firm also partners with COUNT, an AI-powered accounting platform, where it fits a client’s needs.
